Right of Withdrawal and Returns

Terms and Procedure

  1. Pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), customers purchasing as Consumers have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract for any reason, without the need to provide explanations and without any penalty.

  2. To exercise this right, the customer has 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the goods. The withdrawal can be activated by filling out the withdrawal declaration available within the personal reserved area on the website. Alternatively, the communication can be sent within the same period via an explicit declaration by email to our customer support address or by registered mail with return receipt addressed to:
    CORTI PIPE SRL – VIA LUCIA 21 – 23900 LECCO (LC) - ITALY.
    Upon receipt of the withdrawal communication, Tabaccheria Corti Customer Service will confirm receipt of the request and provide the customer with instructions for returning the goods. The customer is required to ship the products back within 14 days from the date they communicated their decision to withdraw.

  3. The right of withdrawal is subject to the following conditions:
    • The right applies to the purchased product in its entirety; it is not possible to exercise the right of withdrawal on only part of the purchased product.
    • The shipping costs for returning the goods (return shipping costs) are entirely borne by the buyer. Any additional costs, such as customs duties, taxes, or import fees incurred during the return process, shall also be entirely borne by the consumer.
    • The shipment, until the certificate of receipt in our warehouse is issued, is under the complete responsibility of the customer.
    • In the event of damage to the goods during transport, Tabaccheria Corti will promptly notify the customer of the event (within 5 working days from receipt of the goods in its warehouses) to allow them to file a complaint against the courier they chose and obtain a refund for the value of the goods (if insured). In this event, the product will be made available to the customer for its return, simultaneously cancelling the withdrawal request.
    • Tabaccheria Corti is not liable in any way for damage, theft, or loss of goods returned via uninsured shipments.
  1. Tabaccheria Corti will refund the customer the amount paid for the returned products within 14 days from the moment we are informed of the decision to withdraw. The standard shipping costs incurred at the time of purchase will be refunded only if the order is returned in its entirety; if the order is not returned completely (partial return of only some products), the initial shipping costs will not be refunded. (Conditions for extra EU shipment may differ.)
    The refund will be issued via a reversal of the amount charged to the Credit Card or by Bank Transfer. In the latter case, it will be the customer's responsibility to promptly provide the bank details to obtain the refund (IBAN code and account holder name, which must match the name on the invoice). Tabaccheria Corti may withhold the refund until it receives the goods or until the customer proves that they have shipped the products back.

  2. The right of withdrawal is totally forfeited due to the lack of the essential condition of product integrity (packaging and/or its contents), in cases where Tabaccheria Corti verifies:
    • The lack of the outer packaging and/or the original wrapping containing the purchased product.
    • Damage to or use of the product for reasons other than its transport.
      In the event of forfeiture of the right of withdrawal, Tabaccheria Corti will return the purchased goods to the sender, charging them for the relevant shipping costs.
  1. In order to promote sustainable consumption practices and reduce the environmental impact related to transport and CO2 emissions, Tabaccheria Corti monitors the frequency of returns. In the presence of abnormal, abusive behavior, or a manifestly high and unjustified number of consecutive returns by the same user, Tabaccheria Corti reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend the customer's account and to refuse future orders.
